Description
CR-Neoprene :
U.S.A. In 1953
CR is the first synthetic rubber, manufactured by
polymerising chlorine and butadiene.
Feature : Heat resistance, oil and chemical, ozone,
weathering, flexing compression set and flame.
Application : Many sealing applications.
U-Urethane/Polyuretane
:
Feature : High resistance petrolium oil, fuels, ozne
and weathering
Application : Prefer for hydraulic systems and high
pressure, shock loads, wid metal tolerances, not recommended
for acids, ketone and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Trade Name : Texxin by Mils Chemical, Apiprene by
Uniroyal, Cyanaprene by American Cyanamid, Pellethane
by Dow Chemical
NBR-NItrile :
Copolymer of acrylonitrile
and butadiene
Feature : Good resistance to oil fuel and petrolium
products, gasoline, tear, abrasion, re-enforce NBR,ozne
and sunlight.
Application : Widely used elastomer for sealing applications.
EPDM/EPM-Ethylene
Propylene (Polyolefin rubbers)
Feature : 2 Types EPM-Saturated Polymer and EPDM-Unsaturated
Polymer.
Application : Popular in sealing industry ; good resistance
to skydrol and phosphate ester type hydraulic fluids.
Flexing characteristic and good heat resistance and
electrical properties and wide range of temp. -57
to + 150 C application.
Trade Name : Nordel by E.I. Dupon, Vistalon by Exxon
Chemical,Royalene by Uniroyal, Epsyn by Copolymer
Ruuber and Epcar by B.F.Goodrich
ACM-Polyacrylate
: Copolymerd of acrylic
ester and minor proportion of 2d monomers.
Feature :High resistance to deteroation by oils, extreame-pressure
lubricants and hot air.
Special Process : To develop optimum physical properties
by Post-Cure requires.
Application : Widely used by automotive industry for
tranmisions and power steering gears using tyep A
Fluid.
Silicone :
Organic long chains polymer groups of silicone and
oxygen
Feature : Non toxic, Heat Resistance, ozone and weathering.
Poor in Tensile Strength tear and abrasion. Good wilde
rang of temp. application -100 to + 600 F.
Application : Food Industry and Electronics performance
under extreme temperature conditions.
